Events encourage students to bring out the best in them: Expert

Nagpur: Aiming to promote scientific temperament among budding engineers, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIIT-N) has organized a 2-day national level technical event 'Tantra Fiesta 2017' with the theme 'Digital India'. The event is organized at Regional Telecom Training Center, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Seminary Hills on Saturday and Sunday.
The event consisted of games and activities to expand the horizons of technical learning along with speakers from different sectors presenting their insight on the importance of digitization.
In the inaugural speech, Aatish Daryapurkar, student affair council in-charge, IIIT-N, said, "The event focuses on guiding participants to come up with innovative solutions and think 'out of the box' methods to solve a problem. Our goal is to develop competent and capable youth filled with the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and who can provide global leadership in Information Technology and allied fields."
Chief guest for the inaugural ceremony, innovator and entrepreneur Shashikant Chaudhari, said, "Events, be it technical or cultural, are the platforms for students to learn not just technical skills but also life skills. The real talent comes up and one can get an overview regarding his own capabilities. Youth can create path breaking ideas and actually turn it into reality because their minds are not limited to the boundaries of education. Various students have started their start-ups during their college days and revolutionized the entire scenario of entrepreneurship and innovation."
"Moreover, one realizes the different career prospects and acknowledges its importance in any organization. Be it operations, marketing, technical or human resource, every sector is booming and one can develop the qualities by engaging in such events and having fun in the process."
Eight events have been organized in the event related to coding, circuit fabricating, robotics, graphic designing and others. A school interaction event is also scheduled wherein the school students will participate in science exhibition and quiz competition.
Three speakers namely Omkar Kusre from Persistent System, Sahil Chawla, founder Tsecond Generation Technology and JenuKuti Prem Kumar, product manager, Capricot Technologies will enlighten the students on various subject of technology and entrepreneurship.
Another IIIT-N staff, Ankit Bhurane, said, "The technical festival will showcase the talents in fields like robotics, algorithm, science, technology, management and many more. We had organized some warm-up workshops for the students to help them gear up for the event and guide them. The events will enhance the growth of the students and make them ready for the advancement of the world."
