Freight rates for the nine-tonne payload section for select centres dropped by Rs 1000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight cargo movements amid huge position of trucks.
Transporters said insufficient cargo movements and heavy availability of trucks mainly pulled down some of the centres freight rates.
Delhi to Goa, Thiruvananthapuram, Puducherry and Mysore freight rates dropped by Rs 1000 each to Rs 59,000, Rs 82,000, Rs 67,000, Rs 66,000.
Rates to Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Surat also moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 62,000, Rs 64,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 26,000.
