Man, two minor daughters drown

Palanpur: Three persons, including two minor girls, drowned in Dantiwada canal when the bike on which they were travelling slipped into the canal at Rasana village near Deesa on Saturday.
Yogesh Modi of Deesa had come to canal side on a bike with his two daughters Shloka (12) and Jeni (5) for sightseeing. However, while driving on the rough road near the canal, the bike slipped and fell into the canal along with the trio, police inspector AT Pancholi of Deesa rural police station said.
The body of a Shloka was found floating on the water and was fished out by a local policeman.
A rescue and fire brigade team from Deesa municipality was pressed in to work to search for bodies of Modi and Jeni, Pancholi said.
