Best digital content award for Harper Broadcast

Harper Broadcast, the channel produced by publisher HarperCollins India, has been adjudged the best for its content in a campaign at the Drivers of Award 2017.

The award was given in the media category at a ceremony held in on Thursday.


Harper Broadcast was launched in October 2016. Billed as a first-of-its kind in India, it is a free subscription publisher-hosted channel presented in text and video format of all things related to books published by HarperCollins and some by other publishers.

It showcases celebrated authors, book reviews, plot trailers, videos, cover reveals, interviews, and even awards won.

Speaking on the win, Sonali Singh, head (marketing) at HarperCollins India, said, "Harper Broadcast is the vision of our CEO Ananth Padmanabhan and a dedicated team of select senior editorial colleagues who work closely with our team to bring out an edition every month and even special editions."

"We feel humbled and take this as a great motivator to continue spreading the joy of books, reading, and celebrating talented authors," she added.

Subhashree Das, HCI's Manager, received the award.

"This award is special to all of us who love books and love to read. It is knowledge sharing in a cool and interesting way! Thank you so much for this appreciation of our unique platform," Das said.

HarperCollins publishes approximately 10,000 new books every year in 17 languages, and has a print and catalogue of more than 200,000 titles.
