Panaji: Chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday told the BJP legislation wing that the government will not immediately initiate large scale recruitments for various departments.
The BJP legislation wing on Friday held a meeting at the assembly complex. Only seven of the 14 BJP MLAs were present at the meeting. During the meeting, the MLAs asked the state government to start the recruitment process for various government departments as people are coming to them for jobs
The legislators said that Parrikar told them clearly that the government will not immediately start recruitment for the government departments.
In April 2017, the state government partially lifted the November 2016 ban on the recruitment process to government departments.
In the first phase, the government has lifted the recruitment ban to four government departments, including all grant-in-aid educational institutions, government educational institutions, Goa medical college, Goa dental college, Institute of Psychiatric and Human Behaviour, and directorate of health services, the official announcement stated.
