Karnataka SSLC, II PUC 2018 schedules released, exams to be held from March 1

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) will conduct the Senior School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and II Pre-University (PU) exams from March 2018 onwards.

The examination for SSLC will begin on March 23 and will end by April 4 next year, according to reports which state that the state education department aims to wrap up the examinations before April 30. The SSLC exams are being conducted a week early and the II PU exams will have few gaps between papers so that it doesn’t clash with the state legislative election dates which will take place in the same months.

The II PU exams are scheduled to be held from March 1 to March 16. According to reports, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait announced that the exam results will be announced by the end of April.

Reports further state that about 9.6 lakh students will appear for the SSLC exams for which 60,000 evaluators will be assigned. For the 7 lakh PU students who will be appearing for the exams in March 2018, 18-20,000 lectures have been assigned to evaluate the answer scripts.
