Kothari storms into the finals of World Billiards Championship

Sourav Kothari of wrapped up four games on the trot with complete command to defeat his fellow countryman Siddharth Parikh 7-5, entering the finals of the 2017 LiteTask World Billiards Championship being played at the Northern Snooker Center.

In the other semi-final played between two former world champions, Dave Causier of defeated Rupesh Shah of by 7-4.


This is the first time that Kothari reached the finals of the World Billiards, organized by the World Billiards Limited.

He had earlier, reached the finals of the long-up format of the IBSF World Billiards Championship last year held in but lost to Peter Gilchrist of in the finals.

The best of 15 games finals between Sourav Kothari and David Causier will be played later in the evening.
