Several African nationals on Friday protested outside a private school in Greater Noida demanding immediate removal of its principal, after an 11-year-old Nigerian student was allegedly sodomised by a school staffer. “Some members of African Association spoke to the school management today and expressed concern over the sexual assault on the Nigerian student. They demanded action against the school principal,” SHO, Surajpur, Girish Kumar said.

The accused, who worked as a book seller in the school in Sector Pi of Greater Noida, was arrested a few days ago, he said. A complaint was registered in the case after which the accused man was booked under Indian Penal Code Section 377 for unnatural offence.

“Today, we were to record the statement of the victim before a court under CrPC 164 but it could not be done. Further investigations are going on in the case,” Kumar added.
