After a refreshing trailer of comedy king Kapil Sharma’s second big-screen venture Firangi, now the first song of the movie, “Oye Firangi” has been released. Kapil Sharma took to his Twitter handle to share the song with his fans and wrote, “#OyeFirangi is OUT and everyone’s already loving it! Heard it yet?” Crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan, the song seems to be a transition number in the movie to swiftly portray the change in Kapil’s character from someone who does nothing to a hardworking man.

At the beginning of the almost three minutes long video, Kapil aka Magga innocently asks a British man if he will be getting a gun and a stick for the post he is being hired for. The exhilaration of being of some use to others is much evident in Kapil’s eyes. Like an inquisitive child, he is happy to discover how the Britishers lead their life. The magnifying glass, the telephone and the spoon, all are big inventions for a village boy who has stepped out of a cocoon for the first time. Also, we get to see a romantic side of the comedy king as he steals glances at Ishita Dutta who plays his love interest in this period drama.

First with the trailer and now with this song, Kapil has proved that he has evolved as an actor after his debut in the out-and-out comedy film, ‘Kis Kis Ko Pyar Karun’. Though there is nothing special about the song but you will have a smile on your face as you watch it, courtesy, the innocence on Kapil’s face while he remains unaware of the shackles of the British rule. The music of the song is given by Jatinder Shah.

Produced by Kapil, the film is slated to release on November, 24.
