NEW DELHI: Over 80 stocks, including Avanti Feeds, Bajaj Auto, Birla Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Friday's trade.

Century Textiles & Industries, GAIL (India), Jindal Steel & Power, Maruti Suzuki India, United Spirits, Nalco, NTPC, Steel Authority of India, Tata Steel, United Breweries and Vedanta were also among the stocks that hit a fresh 52-week high today.

On the contrary, 15 stocks, such as Arcotech, Balaxi Ventures, KSS, Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network, Stampede Capital and TV Vision hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.

Equity benchmarks were cautious, with pharma, FMCG and auto indices holding up.

Bank, IT and telecom stocks were experiencing selling pressure.

The Nifty50 index was trading 4 points up at 10,348, while the BSE Sensex was 66 points up at 33,213 around 10.55 am (IST).

Adani Ports, with a gain of over 5 per cent, was leading the Nifty50 index. Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aurobindo Pharma, Cipla, Sun Pharma and Hero MotoCorp were also among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, YES Bank cracked 7 per cent, while Bharti Infratel plunged 6 per cent in the Nifty50 index. Bharti Airtel and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation slipped up to 4 per cent.
