Gireesh Gangadharan, who has handled cinematography for Malayalam films such as Kali and Angamaly Diaries, has been roped in for Vijay’s next project, which is to be directed by AR Murugadoss.

It is notable that Gireesh received a Special Jury Mention for cinematography at the Kerala State Film Awards in 2016, for his work in Guppy.

According to sources, the ground work for the untitled film, which has been christened Vijay62, has already begun. In an interview with us, Murugadoss too confirmed that he was working on the script and screenplay.

Sources say that the makers will start shooting by early next year. An official announcement about the film with details about the cast and crew is expected to be made soon. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Sun Pictures could bankroll this project.
