BHEL celebrates Rajbhasha Day

Modern learning tools like Learn Indian Language through Artificial Intelligence (LILA) App for smart phones have been enabling employees to learn Hindi effectively, R Rajamanohar, Executive Director, BHEL Tiruchi, and Chairman, Official Language Implementation Committee, BHEL Tiruchi, said on Wednesday.

BHEL Tiruchi had been adjudged best among major units of C Region under Inter-unit Rajbhasha Shield scheme in 2015-16 for official language implementation, said Mr. Rajamanohar, who is also the Executive Director of Power Plant Piping Unit Thirumayam, and Piping Centre, Chennai, while addressing the Rajbhasha Day celebration.

BHEL Tiruchi was committed to propagating Hindi as official language to serve its customers and stakeholders in a better way, he said.

He joined the chief guest P Uday Kumar Reddy, Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway, Tiruchi Division, in presenting awards and certificates to winners of various competitions held for employees and school children in connection with the Rajbhasha Day celebrations.

Mr. Uday Kumar Reddy said that public sector employees ought to learn, teach and try using Hindi as official language. Hindi was easy enough to learn for replacing English as link language, to improve communication among people from various regions of the country, he said.

The DRM released the electronic version of Hindi Souvenir, ‘BHEL Kiran’ on the occasion, in the presence of Mr. Rajamanohar, M Jayakumaran, General Manager, Human Resources and Civil, BHEL Tiruchi, and other officials.

Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Rajbhasha Officer, BHEL Tiruchi, presented the Annual report outlining official language activities for 2016-17.
