A precursor to Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in city in November

Tech start-up incubator T-Hub with NITI Aayog announced on Wednesday the launch of Hack2Innovate, a deep-tech hackathon.

A precursor to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) scheduled in Hyderabad during the last week of November, the hackathon is to be conducted across seven major cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Jaipur and Guwahati. Hack2Innovate will focus on advanced fields such as AI, machine learning, deep learning, cognitive and neural language processing and computer vision.

Coders, start-ups, entrepreneurs, researchers, designers, makers and technologists enthusiastic about deep-tech are slated to come together to nourish the deep-tech innovation by working on the challenges provided by the partners during the hackathon. The participants will have a unique opportunity to avail hands-on training from developers, data scientists and researchers. NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, Samsung and PwC are associated with the T-Hub initiative.

Besides the combined prize money of up to ₹10 lakh, the winners would be felicitated with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, a high-end graphics card by NVIDIA. They also would get to work closely with the innovation team of Samsung & PwC, get access to all events and networking sessions led and organised by the T-Hub, and avail credits of T-Hub’s select list of service providers. Participants may apply at t-hub.co/hack2innovate.

Founder and COO of T-Hub Srinivas Kollipara said the event aimed to promote the innovativeness of deep-tech enthusiasts and provide them with opportunities to showcase their talent at T-Day (T-Hub’s 2nd anniversary).
