Builder house sealed for loan default

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Gramya Bank on Wednesday sealed the house of Ratikanta Kanungo, a city-based builder in Chintamaniswar under Laxmisagar police limits here. The bank officials with the assistance of Laxmisagar police sealed the house of Kanungo for non-payment of loan he had taken by mortgaging his property. The bank officials informed that they had sealed another house of Kanungo in Bhimatangi on Tuesday. The builder had taken a loan of over `5 crore from the bank in 2009, but he failed to repay the amount. He has claimed that he is not a defaulter and he has also repaid certain amount of the loan amount.
