Hostel kids allege torture

HYDERABAD: Alleging corporal punishment by the management of an NGO-run hostel, its inmates, who are students of a government school, lodged a complaint with the  Malakpet police on Wednesday.

The children took the help of Balala Hakkula Sangham, a child rights organisation, to lodge the complaint against the management of Grameena Abhivruddhi Seva Samithi Hostel at Malakpet. The NGO alleged that the children were being abused in the name of caste and were also subjected to physical torture.
