MYSURU: Two months after she was arrested on the charge of honey trapping, the woman has accused the police personnel of framing her. She has submitted a memorandum to SP Ravi D Channannavar seeking action against the cops for harassing her both physically and mentally while in custody.

Narrating her ordeal, the woman has stated that the police arrested her on August 24 and took her to the station. She was forced to disrobe and was meted out inhuman treatment to confess to be a part of ‘Honey trapping’ racket. By then, the woman’s fiancé Madhusudhan, who had been arrested by the police along with his friends in the same case, had confessed and the police wanted her to endorse the same. When she refused to do so, she had to face the wrath of men in khaki, she has alleged.

According to her, it was a well-hatched conspiracy by one Puttaswamy, a businessman from Siddartha Nagar. Puttaswamy, who had somehow befriended her, wanted to force her into flesh trade. The woman who became aware of his motive, told her fiancé about the same. Madhusudhan and his friends summoned Puttaswamy for talks only to beat him up. They also video recorded the conversation and resorted to hand him over to police. Sulking in anger, Puttaswamy who was waiting to avenge the same, later took help of his friend circle-inspector at Nanjangud Gopalakrishna only to foist false charges, the woman has alleged in the copy submitted to the SP. The woman has also handed over a CD consisting a record of conversations on cell phone with Puttaswamy in support of her stand, along with the different cell phone numbers used by the latter.

However, according to police sources, the woman had allegedly robbed Puttaswamy of his car, before they were caught along with the same vehicle in Nanjangud. Puttaswamy had walked into the trap, after he was asked to come near the railway track at Sri Nagar near Ramabai Nagar.
