Barcelona team has been criticised after their Copa del Rey match against Real Murcia – not for their performance but behaviour in the dressing room. Ernesto Valverde’s side may have left the pitch with a commanding 3-0 lead over Real Murcia in the second leg of Copa del Rey last 32 tie on Tuesday but did not know the right way to leave the dressing room.

A video emerged on Youtube and has gone viral after the defending champions left Real Murcia’s dressing room with left-over food and plastic bottles scattered all over the place, overflowing bins and used tissues across the floor.

One of the items belonged to Marc Cucurella, who played the final seven minutes of the game. The 19-year old had his surname written on the container that had fruits.

Goals from Paco Alcacer, Gerard Deulofeu and Jose Arnaiz helped Barca win the match against Real Murcia in the absence of regular players Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique, who were attending FIFA’s The Best awards in London on Monday night.

La Liga toppers Barcelona now return to San Mames to face Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
