JAIPUR: A pilgrimage to the Tejaji temple of Hanumangarh ended on a tragic note for a family on Thursday morning when the vehicle in which they were returning to their villages collided head on with a truck near Kishangarh.

Three men of a family were killed while five others seriously injured in the accident.

According to police, the incident occurred near Kishangarh when the members of the family were on their way to Bhilwara after offering prayers at Tejaji temple in Hanumangarh.

The collision was huge as the bodies were stuck inside the van and with the help of metal cutters the bodies and the injured left were bailed out," said a senior police officer of Gandhi Nagar police station in Kishangarh.

All the injured were rushed to a Ajmer's government hospital. "All the injured have sustained multiple injuries including fractures and head injuries," said an officer.

The bodies of the deceased were sent to the post-mortem at Ajmer's government hospital. "Their relatives have been intimated," said an officer.
