According to an IANS report, the fire broke out after a gas cylinder exploded during demolition of unauthorised constructions.
At least 16 fire engines and several water tankers have reached the spot to fight the fire. The sky is filled with thick black smoke which is visible for several kilometres.
So far two people, including one firefighter, have been injured.
More details are awaited.
