NEW DELHI: Union minister Hansraj Ahir on Wednesday alleged that Nigerians living in Delhi were involved in drug trafficking, ANI has reported.

"Nigerians in Delhi live dishonestly and indulge in drug trafficking," said Ahir in Raipur.

In his address, caught on video, the minister attacked foreigners living in India, especially Nigerians, for "oppressing" Indians.

The Minister of State for Home Affairs claimed that while Indians treat these expatriates with 'samman,' or respect, they do not receive the same treatment in return.

"We give citizens of other countries the right to live here with respect. We give visas, long term visas, too. Many have been living here for years. Nobody oppresses them, instead they oppress others," he said.
