The beta testing is limited to Nokia 8 users at the time of writing though Nokia does promise that beta testing would be made available for Nokia 3, 5 and 6 users as well.
The beta labs webpage does not reveal much apart from the fact that Nokia would be using feedback from beta testers to improve the final release. Joining beta labs is simple as users are required to sign up for the program after which they are required to enter the IMEI number for verification as reported by Android Authority. After the verification, users should directly receive the update over-the-air within the next 12 hours.
Nokia has promised Android Oreo update for all its 2017 smartphones including the entry-level Nokia 3. A recent report also quoted an HMD Global Country Manager saying that all Nokia phones will also receive Android P update when it arrives.
HMD Global is geared up to announce another Nokia device on 31 October. As reported previously, the company sent out invites to what appears to be a global launch event. While it has not been mentioned officially, rumours suggest that HMD could launch the Nokia 2, Nokia 7 or the Nokia 9.
