A four-year-old boy was severely injured after a pack of dogs bit him at Ganapavaram village in Muppalla mandal on Tuesday.
Prem Kumar was playing in front of his house when he was attacked by a pack of dogs. Locals, who were nearby, soon chased the dogs away. A severely injured Prem was rushed to a local hospital and as the injuries were severe, doctors advised his parents to take him to Government General Hospital, Guntur.
Since the local hospital had no ambulance, the boy’s father, Suresh, was forced to bring the boy to GGH, Guntur on his motorcycle. Suresh said that though he had complained of presence of stray dogs in the area, the local panchayat department had not taken any action.
