Cupertino to market Odisha Tourism

BHUBANESWAR: Cupertino city of California in USA will cooperate with Odisha to market its tourism products and cultural potential, said Cupertino city Mayor Sabita Vaidyanathan here on Tuesday.
 Vaidyanathan met Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Ashok Panda in the Secretariat here and both had a discussion on bilateral cooperation between Odisha and Cupertino for cultural exchange. She also had a discussion with the State Government on bilateral cooperation between Odisha and Cupertino in the field of tourism and culture.

It was decided that American students will be included in cultural exchange programme. In addition, the Cupertino city will help to bring more foreign tourists to cultural events like Konark Dance Festival and Rajarani Music Festival organised in Odisha.The Mayor apprised that Cupertino had organised a similar exchange programme with one of its sister cities, Toyokawa in Japan.

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Mayor Anant Narayan Jena, Principal Secretary in Tourism Department Mona Sharma, Secretary in Culture Department Manoranjan Panigrahy and senior officials were present.On Monday, BMC Commissioner Krishan Kumar invited Cupertino companies for exploring business and investment opportunities in the second Info Valley Project here which is spread over 700 acres of land.
