Most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE on Wednesday

NEW DELHI: Shares of State Bank of India (number of shares traded: 26.27 crore), Punjab National Bank (16.65 crore) and Bank of Baroda (13.68 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE on Wednesday.
ICICI Bank (12.36 crore), Axis Bank (3.76 crore), YES Bank (3.34 crore), SAIL (2.36 crore), Idea Cellular (1.99 crore), PFC (1.35 crore), BHEL (1.10 crore), REC (1.07 crore) and PowerGrid (0.92 crore) were the other stocks in that league.
Equity benchmarks closed with robust gains on Wednesday.
The Nifty50 index closed 88 points higher at 10,295, while Sensex settled 435 points up at 33,042.
State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, UltraTech Cement, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, GAIL (India) and Tech Mahindra settled as the top gainers in the Nifty50 index on Wednesday.
However, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bajaj Finance, YES Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC and Lupin settled as the losers among the Nifty stocks.
