Normally, the dates of UP Board exams are declared around the month of December, but, the Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has recently asked the education department to declare the dates soon, so that the students may start the preparations for the board exams early.
The dates of UP Board 2018 exams will be declared on Friday at a programme organised at Allahabad, reported Hindustan.
The practical exams of the UP Board are expected to begin either from the first week of December or second week.

Last year the UP Board exams were delayed after the Election Commission of India declared the elections to the Uttar Pradesh legislature. The Uttar Pradesh assembly elections were held from February 11 to March 8 and the UP Board exams started on March 16 and concluded on April 21.
Finally, the UP Board had declared the Class 10 and class 12 results on June 9, this year and Girls outshone boys in both high school and intermediate exams conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board even as the number of appearing candidates and pass percentage of class 10th and 12th declined this year.
Secondary Education Director Amarnath Verma said, last academic year, around 30 lakh candidates appeared in the high school examinations and the overall pass percentage stood at 81.18 percent while about 25 lakh students appeared for intermediate out of which 82.62 percent secured the passing marks.
