Two bike-borne men snatch 55-year-old woman's mangalsutra worth Rs 75,000

THANE: A 55-year-old woman was snatched of her gold chain worth Rs 75,000 at Kolshet on Sunday. The victim, who was identified as Padmaja Tribhuvan, is a resident of Dhokali.
The police claimed that the incident took place on Sunday evening when the woman had gone for a walk with her husband.
Two motorcycle-borne men approached the victim and rode the bike in the space between the victim and her husband. While the husband was about to reprimand the men for riding recklessly , the pillion rider snatched the vic tim's mangalsutra weighing 32 grams.
The police said that they will check CCTVs installed in the area and the accused will be arrested on the basis of the same. The woman gave the description of the vehicle and also the pillion as he was not wearing a helmet. The duo was booked for robbery .
