For the first time, visitors and residents of Ballari can enjoy a three-dimensional view of the city and the historical fort by taking a ride on a paraplane.
Organised by the district administration in association with NOPASANA, an organisation for promotion of adventure sports, it is a pre-event to the three-day Hampi Utsav-2017, to be held in Hampi from November 3.
This joyride will be available for three days — October 30, 31, and November 1 — in two sessions — from 6.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. — at the District Stadium and Ballari airport grounds.
“There has a been lot of enquiry and bookings have begun. Depending on the demand, the number of paraplanes will also be increased,” Ajmal Shakeeb of NOPASANA and also Commandant Home Guards told The Hindu.
It costs ₹2,500 per person for a 8 to 10 minute ride, Mr. Shakeeb said.
