Rajasthan police to verify autos ferrying schoolchildren

Jaipur: State police will complete the verification of the school autos and their drivers within a month, state home minister Gulabchand Kataria announced on Wednesday.
The announcement came as a reply to a query raised by BJP MLA Vidya Shankar Nandwana regarding verifications of school autos in Kota, during the question hour at the Rajasthan Assembly on Wednesday. Kataria assured the house that the police would conduct the verification of all school autos along with the verification of the drivers who ferry school children of private schools in the state.
``Along with the verification of the autos, the character verification of the drivers too would be conducted by the police across the state,'' said Kataria. He assured the house that the verification process will be completed within a month.
