Design based on the Samagra Kutumba Survey

Based on the Samagra Kutumba Survey, the government has designed a plan to send paddy seeds to the needy farmers online, and is also taking steps to avoid long queues for getting fertilisers.

Talking about it at the District Review Committee meeting held here on Wednesday, the Agriculture Minister P. Srinivas Reddy said that for the bio-organic pesticide preparation under the Krishi Vikas Yojana, 12 clusters were established on 50 acres. Efforts were on to develop 960 acres of government land available at Maltummeda and Boppaspally for raising soyabean and redgram, he said.

Srinivas Reddy said that soil cards were distributed to 14,000 farmers and revenue staff were on the job of extending ₹4,000 per acre assistance based on the online pahani system. The administration unveiled the annual credit plan to extend to a ₹660 crore, covering 80 per cent of the farm loan this year, he said.

He said a total of 4,631 sheep units were given to the beneficiaries and the milk collection rate was increased by ₹4 per litre benefiting a number of families who depended on dairy farming for livelihood.

Speaking on the occasion, the Opposition leader in the Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, demanded that the government open more number of cotton purchase centres to ensure ₹4,320 per quintal for the crop. He wanted the government to purchase maize through Markfed to do justice to maximum number of farmers.

The government whip Gampa Govardhan suggested the authorities to restore the drinking water pipeline to every household by the end of December.

Under Mission Bhagiratha, 1106 kilometre intra-connection pipeline was being laid, he said.

He said the 2BHK houses have been under construction at Rameswarpally, Kachapur, Domokonda and Birapur villages.

Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde, Collector N. Satyanarayana and Joint Collector S. Sathaiah also spoke at the meeting.
