Modi government an NPA: Hooda

leader on Wednesday slammed the Modi-led central government, terming it an "NPA" (non-performing asset).

He said the common man was fed up with the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), that has badly hit the Indian economy.

"Now the people are telling the BJP that your is going," the former Haryana Chief Minister, who was here to campaign for the party, told reporters.

Hooda said the people would give a befitting reply to the BJP in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat elections.

He blamed GST and demonetisation for taking away a huge number of jobs, saying over one lakh people lost jobs in Haryana's industrial hub of Faridabad alone.

Taking a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party for not declaring their Chief Ministerial candidate, Hooda asked: "Is a party leader from the Central going to become the Chief Minister here."

He also slammed the for not implementing the M.S. Swaminathan panel report to resolve crisis of the farmers despite its election promise.
