SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday sanctioned a cash assistance of Rs 2 lakh in favour of a freelance photojournalist, who was injured during the unrest of 2016.
An official spokesperson here this evening said that a group of photojournalists covering today’s passing out parade at Police Training School, Manigam had raised the issue with the Chief Minister. “Ms Mehbooba assured immediate action in the matter,” he said.
He said the Chief Minister handed over the cheque to Zuhaib Ahmad in the afternoon. (AGENCIES)
