Gur prices end steady on adequate stocks

Gur prices pegged steady at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today on adequate stocks position against scattered buying activity.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also finished on a steady note on little doing.


Marketmen said scattered buying support along with sufficient stocks position mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, pedi Rs 3,300-3,400, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,800-3,125, khurpa Rs 2,750-2,850 and Ladoo Rs 2,950-3,000.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050 and dhayya Rs 3,050- 3,100.
