With DC’s massive extended universe movie Justice League in the offing, audiences are being treated to short videos introducing the new superheroes who will be making their debut in the movie. After Aquaman, Cyborg features in a new video explaining his super powers and origin story.

In the video, Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg and was teased briefly in Batman V Superman, talks about the character of Victor Stone who transforms into Cyborg who he calls “half man, half machine, but all superhero”. With the video referring to him as the “big guns” on the team, and Wonder Woman telling him, “No one else can do what you do,” filmmakers have managed to raise the curiosity levels for this often ignored character. As Fisher puts it, "He's able to interface with any form of technology, he can transform his body into different weapons."

The video offers a slightly altered origin story than Cyborg’s comic book avatar origin stories. In the DCEU, Victor Stone suffers from a life threatening car accident and is saved by his father Silas Stone played by Joe Morton, by merging his body with alien technology.

In the film, Cyborg joins Batman, played by Ben Affleck, and the rest of the Justice League team to save the world from the super villain Steppenwolf. After Batman's faith in humanity is restored by Superman's actions in Batman v Superman, he puts together a squad to protect the Earth and defend the human race, which includes Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Superman (Henry Cavill), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

The final trailer of Justice League is out and the highly anticipated film releases on 17 November 2018.
