Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that he felt roads in Madhya Pradesh were “better than those in the United States”. Chouhan is on a 6-day trip to US, where he aims to invite investment from the US to his state. He said that his government had constructed approximately 1.75 lakh kilometeres of roads in the state, thus improving road connectivity. He said that the first focus of his government was on building the roads, as “basic infrastructure” is a must for development.
