AJMER: Congress is now planning a new strategy for polling booth management to get an edge in upcoming by-elections to the Lok Sabha. Ajmer Congress leaders on Tuesday came to state Congress headquarters at Jaipur to file the report of the campaign for the by-elections.
It is expected that Sachin Pilot will once again contest elections from his Ajmer constituency but at the last minute things can change. "Almost every leader of Congress today attended the meeting and committees were formed with responsibilities," said Muzaffar Bharti, spokesperson of Congress.
The meeting concluded that the BJP government both in the state and Centre has failed to bring development and therefore it is the duty of every member of the party to take such issues to public to get their support. "We will ask the question to BJP that why they have not fulfilled their promises made in 2013 and 2014," added the Congress leader.
Rajasthan in-charge of Congress Avinash Pandey while addressing the meeting asked members of the party to make booth management strong and take every voter to the polling stations. He said the Congress workers should start communicating with the voters at the booth level so that they can know that BJP has done nothing in these years. He also asked the leaders to avoid infighting and work hard for the party.
Sachin Pilot on other hand asked Ajmer local leaders in the meeting to make the party strong at the village level. "Pilot asked to keep in view the secular policy of the party and not in any case use religion or caste to polarize votes in the by-elections," added the Congress leader.
