IOCL Recruitment 2017: Application For 354 Trade Apprentice Post To Start On November 1 @ Iocl.com

New Delhi:  Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has invited application from eligible candidates for the post of Trade Apprentice at IOCL- Southern Region (MD). The application process will begin on November 1, 2017. Selected candidates will be posted in one of the following states: Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There are total 354 trade apprentice posts and the tenure of the apprenticeship is 12 months. Trade Apprentice will be paid a consolidated Stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules with an additional amount of Rs.2500 towards Stationery, Conveyance & Miscellaneous expenses. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Trade Apprentice (Fitter) -Matric with 2(Two) year ITI(Fitter) course.
• Trade Apprentice (Electrician) -Matric with 2(Two) year ITI (Electrician) course.
• Trade Apprentice (Electronic Mechanic) -Matric with 2(Two) year ITI (Electronic Mechanic ) course.
• Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic) -Matric with 2(Two) year ITI (Instrument Mechanic ) course
• Trade Apprentice-Laboratory Assistant(Quality Control ): 3 Years full time B.Sc (Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry)

Candidate applying for any of the posts mentioned above, should have completed the qualifying degree from a recognized institute and should have minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC candidates and 45% marks in aggregate in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates. 

Application Process

Application process will begin online on November 1, 2017. Interested candidates can apply through official IOCL website till November 15, 2017. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of their completed application form as they would need application number in order to download their admit card.

Selection Process

The Selection process would consist of two stages i.e. Written test & Personal interview. The Written Test will be of two hours duration and would mainly comprise of objective type questions on the relevant discipline. However there would be some questions on general knowledge, awareness and reasoning also. The questions would be in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. The written test would carry a weightage of 85% and the weightage for interview will be 15%.
