Former SHO, Inspector Jaswinder Kaur, on whose behalf an alleged bribe of Rs 2 lakh was accepted by Chandigarh Police Sub Inspector(S-I) Mohan Singh, was summoned and grilled in the connection with the bribery case at CBI headquarters, Sector 30, on Wednesday. Kaur was also countered with CBI complainant, Prem Singh Bisht, who in his complaint to CBI alleged that he met the woman SHO, who had directed him to follow Singh’s instructions if he wanted to save his three employees, who were accused in a case of attempt to murder and Arms Act. Apart from Bisht, Kaur was also countered with bribe accused Mohan Singh, who was send to one day police custody by a special CBI court on Wednesday.

In the FIR, CBI mentioned, “The accused Mohan Singh took Bisht in his car to Car Bazaar ground in Ramdarbar, where SHO Jaswinder Kaur was present in her police gypsy. She directed the complainant to fulfil the demand of Mohan Singh otherwise the complainant along with his employees would be continuously harassed and the employees of the complainant would be chargesheeted in the case.” Three employees of Bisht including Samdarsh, alias Joseph, Anil and Deepa were booked for attempt to murder and Arms Act on September 17, 2017.
