From playing a television presenter in the popular comedy show Jabardasth to becoming a successful actress with Guntur Talkies, starlet Rashmi Gautam has come a long way.

“I’m not fluent in Telugu but our people have showered their love and blessings on me in all my endeavours on the small screen. I’m hoping to get a similar reception in Tollywood too,” said Rashmi.

The actress is now looking forward to the release of her upcoming film Next Nuvve wherein she plays actor Brahmaji’s sister.

Directed by Prabhakar, the film is slated to release on November 3.

“I’m playing the leading lady in the film and it’s a glamourous role. Throughout the film, I will be seen wearing a saree. I couldn’t believe that I look dropdead gorgeous in this avatar and this makeover gave an impression that I could live in a saree.”

Elaborating further on the film, she says, “It’s a concept-based film with loads of entertainment. Every role has a significance and I’m sure the audience will have a great time seeing Aadi, Vaibhavi, Brahmaji and me in action.”

Rashmi, known for playing the seductress onscreen in films like Guntur Talkies and Antham among others, doesn’t have any qualms being called a glamour doll.

The Visakhapatnam girl asserts that it was this image which had found her many admirers.

“I don’t like to shrug glamour doll image. In fact, I enjoy people call me a bombshell and it feels good to be every man’s dream. I have redefined the glamour picture with the roles. If there is a proper justification, I’m ready to play a vamp-like character and happy to fill the void left by yesteryear sirens like Silk Smitha, Jyothi Lakshmi, etc. So far, I have shown only 30% of my talent and still have a long way to go in the Telugu cinema industry.”
