Heavy rain in parts of state

Heavy rain lashed some parts of the state on Tuessday.

Heavy rain accompanied with gusty winds lashed Gangavathi town in Koppal district. Several roads in the town were flooded affecting the movement of vehicles. Water gushed into shops and commercial establishments.

Rural areas in the district also received good showers. Marali, Siddapura and Anegondi hobli have received 38 mm of rainfall, according to the officials of the Revenue department.

Moderate to heavy rain lashed various parts of Shivamogga district.

Shivamogga, Bhadravathi, Hosanagar and Sagar received a good spell of rain towards the evening. Shivamogga city received showers for half an hour.

After a week’s gap, a few places in Gadag district received rain on Monday and Tuesday. Naregal village in Ron taluk received heavy rain for nearly an hour late on Monday night.
