Congress IT cell has released 6 pictures of Gabbar Singh and has rephrased his dialogues.
A day after Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, described GST as 'Gabbar Singh Tax', IT cell of Congress party was quick to post a few memes of 'Gabbar Singh', a famous villainous character from Bollywood blockbuster 'Sholay', on social media with message against Modi and BJP government.
Congress IT cell has released 6 pictures of Gabbar Singh and has rephrased his dialogues.
In one poster where Gabbar is sitting on a rock, the Congress IT cell has replaced a famous dilaogue of Gabbar Singh "Are O Samba Kitna Inam Rakhe Sarkar hum par?" to "Are oh Jaitley kitna tax rakhe hain sarkar sab par?"
In another poster, Gabbar is saying, "Kya sochkar aye the, Sahab 15 lakh dega, sabasi dega? Kyon? Ab Tu de.. GST de ?"
Hitting at Rahul Gandhi, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani told India Today, "It was Congress who wanted to implement GST. In GST counsel there are Congress Chief Ministers also, why didn't they take objection that time?"
Congress is relentlessly running a campaign against BJP on social media. This is the first time that Congress is ahead of BJP, at least on social media. Congress' biggest success on social media was its campaign against BJP called 'Vikas gando thayo chhe', which roughly means - 'Development has gone crazy' and 'Gando Vikasni Chilli Diwali', meaning last Diwali of crazy vikas.
"After we put out these posters on social media, people have now started tagging us with their own creative ideas about 'Gabbar Singh Tax.'
People are getting connected to us as they also feel pinch of GST and other issues thus we are getting this response.
