Ajmer: BJP is relaying more on development schemes and frequent visits of chief minister Vasundhra Raje in Ajmer in last 20 days to prepare the ground for the upcoming by-elections to the Lok Sabha. Local BJP leaders are happy to see Raje leading the election campaign and her recent announcements showered in Ajmer are expected to help the party get an edge.

BJP is banking more on the construction of Kishangarh airport and the first flight trial that was conducted on Tuesday in which state minister Vasundev Devnani, Anita Bhadel and other MLAs came in a fifty-seater plane from New Delhi that landed on the airport here.

BJP leaders are also happy that several schemes and projects have been announced and many of them are under way in Ajmer city. On Tuesday, Raje went to Dudu, an assembly constituency of Ajmer that is included in Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency and announced a college and a drinking water scheme.

BJP feels that it enjoys an advantage as the chief minister has created confidence in caste leaders of Ajmer during her visits to different assembly constituencies. "We are having the support of caste leaders which will play an important role in deciding the future of elections," said a senior BJP leader.

Elections are contested on caste lines in Ajmer, which has unofficial Sindhi and Jat seats as these castes dominate the constituencies. Sources said that RSS is not active yet in campaigning but BJP is assured that the RSS wing will come out at the time of booth management. Sources said that caste leaders who met chief minister recently face to face are very happy.
