BENGALURU: InMobi has appointed Ravi Krishnaswamy, former senior vice-president of engineering at Flipkart, as CTO at the company. He replaces Mohit Saxena, Inmobi cofounder who recently moved to the US but continues with the company.

“His breadth of experience across the mobile industry, the startup ecosystem and his expertise as a technology leader is a successful combination in driving our technology portfolio,“ said Naveen Tewari, founder of InMobi.

Krishnaswamy was responsible for leading the infrastructure and platforms group at Flipkart and also headed the ecommerce provider's logistics wing.

According to Tewari at InMobi, Krishnaswamy will lead the company's technology strategy and innovation agenda supporting the organisation's technology vision in big-data and artificial intelligence. His key mandate will include evaluating where the biggest technical opportunities and risks are and helping nurture a culture of innovation within InMobi's engineering organisation.

“I'm excited to be part of a team that has been the stuff of folklore, and has been home to India's brightest tech minds. I am looking forward to taking InMobi's global tech dream into the next sphere of growth and datadriven innovation,“ said Krishnaswamy. Krishnaswamy brings in more than 20 years of enterprise and internet domain experience as a strategic technology leader, focused on developing large scale infrastructure and platforms at global organisations like Microsoft.
