NEW DELHI: Equity benchmarks were trading in the positive territory, tracking global cues.

Realty, metal, bank and FMCG stocks were witnessing buying interest. However, pharma, IT and auto stocks experienced some selling pressure.

The Nifty50 index was trading 30 points up at 10,215, while Sensex was trading 108 points up at 32,615 around 10.05 am (IST).

Shares of Vedanta (up 2.32 per cent), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) (up 2.27 per cent), Tata Steel (up 2.17 per cent), NTPC (up 2.12 per cent), UltraTech Cement (up 1.97 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 1.36 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.35 per cent), GAIL (up 1.32 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 1.01 per cent) were trading as the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Bharti Infratel (down 2.04 per cent), HCL Tech (down 1.49 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.14 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 0.93 per cent), Bosch (down 0.86 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.80 per cent) were the top losers among the Nifty stocks.

In the Nifty50 pack, 30 stocks were trading in the green, while 19 stocks were in the red.

Over 60 stocks, including Bharti Airtel, Delta Corp, Electrosteel Steels and Ganges Securities hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Tuesday's trade.

Stocks such as Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Godrej Properties, Gujarat State Petronet, Hexaware Technologies, Indraprastha Gas, MOIL, Page Industries, Petronet LNG, Reliance Industries, Tata Chemicals, Tata Steel, Torrent Power and Zuari Global too hit a fresh 52-week highs today.

On the contrary, Alps Industries, Hindustan Media Ventures, Dish TV India, Khaitan Electricals and TV Vision were among those 11 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Tuesday's trade so far.
