NEW DELHI: Shares of LCC Infotech (down 16.67 per cent), Jet Knitwears (down 11.70 per cent), Indian Metals (down 11.37 per cent) and Karma Energy (down 10 per cent) cracked over 10 per cent on NSE in Tuesday's trade, defying the bullish market stance.

Stocks such as Gyscoal Alloys (down 9.72 per cent), Parabolic Drugs (down 9.17 per cent), SAL Steel (down 8.77 per cent), Birla Ericsson (down 8.31 per cent), Somi Conveyor (down 7.95 per cent), Diamond Power (down 7.64 per cent), Cadsys (India) (down 7.57 per cent) and GHCL (down 7.23 per cent) declined over 7 per cent.

Equity benchmarks were trading in the positive zone.

The Nifty50 index was trading 27 points up at 10,212, while Sensex was 90 points up at 32,596 around 2.55 pm (IST).

Shares of Zee Entertainment, State Bank of India, ONGC, NTPC, UPL, GAIL, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Vedanta, Cipla, UltraTech Cement and Maruti Suzuki were trading among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, IndusInd Bank, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hindalco, Infosys, YES Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma were the top losers among the Nifty stocks.

On the NSE, 951 stocks were advancing, compared with 714 stocks declining and 309 stocks remaining unchanged.
