AMFI ropes in Lakshmi Vilas Bank's NS Venkatesh as CEO
The post was lying vacant after CVR Rajendran stepped down from the position in December 2016

Association of Mutual Funds in India or AMFI has appointed NS Venkatesh as chief executive officer with effect from October 23, stated a release from AMFI.
On September 4, Moneycontrol had exclusively reported that NS Venkatesh will be the new AMFI CEO.
The post was lying vacant after CVR Rajendran stepped down from the position in December 2016.
Prior to joining AMFI, Venkatesh was the Executive Director at Lakshmi Vilas Bank. He has also served in Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) for over 19 years, where he held several senior positions, including that of the Chief Financial Officer and the Executive Director.
