Upcoming Royal Enfield 750 cc Interceptor spotted during testing in Tamil Nadu

The anticipation for Royal Enfield's 750cc bike has been increasing by the day. Meanwhile, a YouTube video has emerged online showing a Bajaj Dominar trying to outrun a 750cc Royal Enfield Interceptor.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, when launched will be the fastest and most powerful motorcycle from the company. It is visibly much more than a match to the high-speed Dominar as visible in the video.

The video which was uploaded on YouTube last week has already garnered over two lakh views. About ten minutes long, the video reveals certain external details about the Royal Enfield's new model.

According to a report in News 18, numerous teasers of the bike have emerged in the recent months including an image that was uploaded on the Twitter handle of Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield. However, the new video which was taken on the outskirts of Chennai gives a live demo of the motorbike.

The bike looks identical to the company’s Continental GT model. In the matters of speed, which has never been a strong point of Royal Enfield bikes, the new model is an exception. It is pretty evident in the video that the model is able to match up with the Dominar, a sports tourer.

Expected to churn out 50 bhp and 60 Nm of peak torque, the bike reportedly has a 270-degree crankshaft. It is rumoured to have a 17-inch rim with a 120-section tyre and a 160-section tyre at the rear along with ABS discs on both wheels.

The bike, which will be launched next month is expected to cost approximately Rs 4 lakh and compete with high-end bikes like Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Ducati Monster 797.
