NCERT RIE CEE application process to begin in April 2018, know exam pattern, important dates

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced that the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) process will begin next year in the months of April and March, 2018. Candidates can apply for the same from the official website (ncert-cee.kar.nic.in).

The exam will be conducted for admission to various courses in Regional Institutes of Education (RIE). These courses include BScBEd, BABEd, MScEd, BEd, MEd and BEd-MEd.

Previously, NCERT CEE was conducted on June 11, 2017, in 35 cities across the country. Here this year’s schedule which can help calculate next year’s exam schedule.

NCERT CEE 2017 important dates:

Last date to apply- May 15, 2017
Admit card- May 18, 2017
NCERT CEE- June 11, 2017
Results for BScBEd, BABEd, MScEd- July 10, 2017
Results for BEd, BEd-MEd, MEd- July 24, 2017

Exam pattern:

The NCERT CEE 2017 exam had 80 questions of 2 marks each. There were 20 questions on language proficiency, 30 on teaching aptitude and 30 on reasoning ability. Candidates had 120 minutes to answer all questions and there was a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.

Selection process

The selection for NCERT RIE CEE 2017 was done on the basis of 60 per cent of total marks from entrance examination and 40 per cent from aggregate scores for BScBEd, BABEd, MScEd, BEd, MEd and BEd-MEd.
