ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. While promoting his new film 'Suburbicon' on Sunday (October 22), director George Clooney called out other people involved in the Harvey Weinstein allegations. "I have questions about the other people involved," he said in an interview. "I want to know who is taking these actresses up to his room and I'd like to know if people say they had a story, reporters, they say they had a story and didn't run it. I'd like to know why they didn't tell the story in the last 10 years. I would have liked to have known this that this man was assaulting women and silencing women. I would have liked to have known that and somebody did and I'd like to know who that was because it all just doesn't happen with one person, you know." He also addressed how to safeguard women in the industry in the future by saying "How about no more meetings in hotel rooms?" Julianne Moore, who plays twins in Clooney's new film, said "There have to be repercussions for this kind of behavior. They need to lose their jobs, they have to be prosecuted, people have to speak about it, we have to let it be known that it is not ok behavior, that it is illegal behavior, so some of the things I've seen in the last couple of weeks have been revolutionary. I even said that to my daughter. I haven't ever seen these types of ramifications for this egregious behavior. Often people would just go 'oh that's what happens.'" Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was expelled from AMPAS (The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences) after The New York Times and The New Yorker published allegations from a number of women that Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them in incidents dating back to the 1980s, including three who said they had been raped. Reuters has been unable to independently confirm any of the allegations. Weinstein, 65, has denied having non-consensual sex with anyone.
