West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by 117 runs in the first Test at Bulawayo. Set with a target of 434 on a track which was helpful for spinners, it was always going to be a tough ask for the home team. While the Zimbabwe began steadily te steady loss of wickets at regular did not help their cause. Lack of partnerships also did not help their cause either. Brendon Taylor waged a lone battle towards the end but Devendra’Bishoo’s match-winning haul of nine-wicket saw his side secure a comfortable win and lead the two-match Test series by a margin of 1-0.
