Golmaal Again box office collection day 5: Ajay Devgn film collects Rs 116.89 crore

Golmaal Again released on the day of Diwali, clashing with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.

Golmaal Again continues its winning streak at the box office. The film managed to mint Rs 13.25 crore on Tuesday, taking its total to Rs 116. 89 crore till date. Even internationally, the Rohit Shetty directorial is unstoppable and is performing well. It so far collected Rs 25.47 crore at the global box office.

Golmaal Again stars an ensemble cast starring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and others. It has been receiving rave reviews from the audience and the movie critics alike. The bang on comic timing of the entire cast made the movie enter the coveted 100-crore club in just four days, and looks like the film is going to stay unstoppable till a big release hits the box office.

Golmaal Again released a day after Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar hit the screens. While it was being said that the comedy-drama might suffer because of the competition with Advait Chandan’s content-driven family drama, nothing of that sort happened. In fact, before the release of the movie film distributor Akshaye Rathi told Indian Express, “Secret Superstar might be an Aamir film but Golmaal being a mass entertainer will not face any issue with the competitor. In fact, Golmaal has been Ajay Devgn’s highest grossing films and since it is releasing a day after Diwali, there is no doubt the film would see an insane boost.”

When Golmaal: Fun Unlimited received a good response in 2006, Rohit Shetty came up with two sequels, Golmaal Returns (2008) and Golmaal 3 (2010). And now after the success of the fourth one in the franchise, the Golmaal team is thrilled and has announced the fifth part already. The official Instagram account of the Golmaal movie had a video featuring director Rohit Shetty, Tabu, Tusshar Kapoor, Tabu, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu with the caption, “The Gang is thrilled by the response! Keep the love coming and they will be back AGAIN! 😁 #GolmaalAgain.”

Also, the film has managed to be the third highest opening weekend grosser of 2017. The first two being Baahubali: The Conclusion and Raees.
